If a man allows...

If a man allows the love for anything or anyone to come between himself and Allah, then he has worshiped that thing. In this way, money can become one's god or even one's desires could become a god. The Prophet sallaAllahu 'alayhi wasallam said,

"The worshiper of dirham (money) will always be miserable." (Reported by Anas and collected by Bukhari)

Allah 'Azza wajal said in the Qur'an,
"Have you not seen the one who takes his desires as his god?..." (Qur'an 25:43)

Your recompense is with Allah

When Allah, the Exalted, takes something away from you, He compensates you with something better, but only if you are patient and seek your reward from Him. The Prophet sallaAllahu 'alayhi wasallam said:

"Whoever has his eyesight taken away from him and is (then) patient, he will be compensated for it with Paradise."

The Prophet sallaAllahu 'alayhi wasallam said in another hadith:

"Whoever loses a loved one from the people of this world and then seek hi recompense with his Lord, will be compensated in Paradise."

So do not feel excessive sorrow over some misfortune, because the One Who decreed it has with Him Paradise: recompense and a great reward.

So Flee to Allah

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

When Musa (Moses) a.s. left, fleeing from the people of Pharaoh, he stopped at Madyan in the state which Allah described him. He was alone, fearful, and hungry. He cried out loud, “My Lord! I am alone, ill and a stranger!” He replied, “Musa, the person who is alone is one who does not have Me as a source of solace and comfort. The person who is ill is one who does not have Me as his doctor. The person who is strange is one who has no dealings with Me.”

Remembrance of Allah 'Azzawajal

"...invoke Me [and ask Me for anything], I will respond to your [invocation]." (Qur'an 40:60)

If you are living through affliction and pain, remember Allah, call out His Name, and ask Him for help. Place your forehead on the ground and mention His praises, so that you can obtain true freedom. Raise your hands in supplication, and ask of Him constantly. Cling to His door,  have good thoughts about Him, and wait for His help - you will then find true happiness and success.
